Okay, here's a problem: I found AlterKnit on this list and sent a couple items there in March for repair. They told me it would take about four weeks, which I thought was long, and quoted me about $175 total, which I thought was high, but I was also busy and didn't want to deal with trying to find another person who could repair knitwear, so I said fine.
