I love the menswear idea but for women… I love to wear men’s clothes but I never know where to start when I go into the men’s department at stores

I would love menswear guide so I can help my fashionably boring (safe) husband!!!!! Alsooo re merch, we love a cap! And in other news I think even a lil 'how to spend a day' in areas of nyc would be fab xoxo GG

Rat Cap would be 😎

“How to Spend a [Shopping] Day” or, better, “Afternoon”… in SoHo, on Madison, on the LES, etc. would be great

Your interviews are super interesting and I don't even live in NYC, I think you have a real knack for finding people with a story! I also love your guides. Specifically would love a follow up guide to alterations, do I pay more to alter silk? what should I ask my tailor to make sure they are picking up what I'm laying down? Do synthetic fabrics cost more and why? IDK I am super interested in this stuff.

I miss NYC boutique shopping and so rarely have a chance to do it (long gone are the days of walking, roaming and carrying multiple shopping bags) so I would love recommendations for boutique browsing in just about any neighborhood

You are such a skipper though 😭😭

This was so endearing & hilarious Emilia. Thank you. From another “young snob” haha omg ~ NY metro childhoods are a THING.

Meanwhile

I hope you ADORE the eclipse

I went to totality outside Nashville last time & it was a super trippy, fun, wild experience … even for those of us cursed w our jaded snobbish soul roots

I can breathe easy knowing I haven’t fully snobbed up my sons as

A. I raised them in BOSTON

B. When I was living in tribeca (late 20-teens) my son stayed at my apt & when I called him to check in he’d been at “o-deens”

(He was post college/had been working in Costa Rica.. so beautifully unaware of the “hipness” of

ANYTHING.

I was like “?????where???” Odeens

Back & forth

U guessed it

He’d gone to the bar at the Odeon

“It was ok” shrug 🤷‍♀️ 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
